North Bali Reef Conservation
Future Oceans Foundation partner, The Coral Centre, have been linking up with Zach Boakes in North Bali and learning from his project for reef resilience and restoration in an open sea environment.
After about 2 years of data collection, analysis and writing, I am very pleased to share my most recent first author #openaccess research paper which is now published in Marine Biology. The article focuses on the functioning of artificial and coral reefs in Bali, Indonesia, and uses multiple biogeochemical parameters to compare the two habitat types. It's been fantastic working on this unique research project with my Indonesian and UK-based team, and this peer reviewed publication now represents a substantial academic milestone for my PhD.
